TRAPP FAMILY LODGE

We’ll depart from Lizak Bus Service in Warren at 7:00 AM taking a rest stop en route. We’ll also shop at factory outlets for Cabot Cheeses, Lake Champlain Chocolates, and other outlet stores. We’ll take a lunch break and then take a factory tour at Ben & Jerry’s. Stowe is pretty quiet this time of year, with many stores and restaurants closed, so we’ll concentrate on our visit to the Trapp Family Lodge.  We check in at 4:00 pm and dinner is on your own either in the main dining room or in the lounge.  Reservations are required for the main dining room.

After Breakfast on Thursday, the staff will host a historical tour of the hotel.  Your afternoon is free to enjoy the lifestyle of the Lodge’s unique environment of 2400 acres. Cozy up to a roaring fire with a good book, have a cup of tea, visit the gift shop, make arrangements for a spa treatment, pay your respects at the grave of Maria von Trapp, or relax in the pool or outdoor hot tub; there is a micro-brewery on site and a café where you can purchase sandwiches and baked goods. Hike up to the mountainside chapel built by one of the Trapp children or have a cocktail in the Austrian inspired lounge. Later dinner is on your own.  You have a choice of a hearty three-course Austrian dinner or more simple fare in the lounge.  Enjoy the pianist in the lounge or watch a movie in the Lodge’s theater. 

On Friday enjoy a leisurely breakfast before departure for Quechee Village where we’ll enjoy lunch on our own and make a few surprise visits on our way home - Vermont Country Store is included.  The trip includes deluxe motor coach transportation, a comfortable room at the Von Trapp Family Lodge for two nights, baggage handling, breakfast, shopping, and a tour of Ben & Jerry’s.  For further information call Randall Decoteau at (413) 436-5357 or email adventuretours@att.net.   To hold your space for this limited seating event, please send a non-refundable $50 deposit at your earliest opportunity.  Please make checks payable to: Adventure Tours of Warren.  Balance is due on March 1.  We hope you will join us on this memorable trip to discover the fabulous Von Trapp Family Lodge!
