ESCAPE TO ROCKPORT

Escape with us to historic Rockport, Massachusetts. Today Rockport is primarily a suburban residential and tourist town, but it is still home to a number of lobster fishermen and artists. Its rocky beaches and seaside parks are a favorite place for visitors to walk and contemplate the power and grandeur of the Atlantic Ocean.  For many years, Rockport was one of fifteen ‘dry’ towns in Massachusetts.  It was only a few years ago that the town voted that alcohol could be served at restaurants.

Your trip departs from Lizak Bus Service in Warren with a short rest stop en route.  You will see Rockport Harbor, its quaint shops and fishing shacks that have been painted by some of America’s finest artists.  Rockport’s historic attractions bring seacoast history alive with many attractions over 250 years old.  See Motif No. 1, the most painted building in the world.  Visit the Rockport Art Association, Rockport’s churches, Straitsmouth Island Lighthouse, and walk back into the town’s history.  In Rockport, there is truly something for everyone.
