BERKSHIRE BOTANICAL GARDEN

Our annual garden trip is outstanding this year and starts with a visit to the Berkshire Botanical Garden.  The Garden is a 15-acre jewel in the Berkshires comprised of 23 display gardens, all with distinct characteristics.  Seating is available throughout, allowing you to find a shady or sunny spot to contemplate.  Our lunch is at the renowned Red Lion Inn and the menu appears on the reverse of this flier.  After lunch we’ll take a guided tour of Naumkeag, a 44-room summer ‘cottage’ owned by three generations of the Choate family.  We’ll take an audio tour of the spectacular gardens once we’ve seen the house.  You’ll love the Blue Steps, the Afternoon Garden, the Tree Peony Terrace, Rose Garden, Evergreen Garden, and Chinese Garden.

We’ll depart from Lizak Bus Company on Main Street in Warren promptly at 7:00 AM.  We expect the coach to be full.  We’ll enjoy a short rest stop en route and will arrive at Berkshire Botanical Garden at 9:00 am. We’ll stay until it’s time to depart for lunch at 11:30 am.  We’ll tour Naumkeag mansion at 2:00 pm and enjoy an audio tour of the gardens afterward.  You should be home by 6:00 pm.
